This helpful guide was assembled by the Drakalor Chain Tourism Board for your comfort. Just indicate on the map above the distinctive feature you are interested in learning more about, and the knowledge shall flow. Enjoy your stay! The Village of Terinyo A humble, peaceful agrarian community. Features a fine restaurant, a prominent religious figure, and reliable law enforcement. Don't forget to see the baby water dragon--a must for the kids! Small Cave Sometimes referred to as the training cave, this appears to be a nice place to hone your skills, until you start getting sharp. This community reacts in kind to the strength of its visitors, but on a geometric (maybe logrithmic) scale, at least near the surface. It's rumored that a back door has been tunnelled out in recent months, but you'll have to go down to find out for yourself. Drakalor Pass Cave Several people have lost their pets near here, so be careful if you decide to venture in. Pets seem to be drawn in by the sounds of insects scrabbling around nests within the caves. IF you can't find it, ask the youngsters in Terinyo, as they're ones always losing their pets here. The Village Dungeon If you talk to the elder in Terinyo before talking to the Druid, he will tell you enough to make this dungeon visible. Within is the Village's Carpenter, Yrrigs; he probably needs your help. The Black Druid's Sinister Dungeon If you talk to the Druid in Terinyo before talking to the elder, this dungeon will appear; otherwise it cannot be found. Inside is Keethrax, the black druid. A Watery Cave Somewhere in the water, there's an underwater cave. Mine always appears here, but yours could be anywhere. Make sure you're properly equipped for a long dive if you decide to go for a swim. The outlaw town of Lawenilothehl Not recommended for polite company, this town is full of ne'er do wells and thieves. It is rumored that this town hosts a Thieves' Guild, a Mad Doctor, and a Crime lord, as well as a black market and others willing to sell items as long as you don't ask the wrong questions. The Drakalor Chain Tourism Board is not responsible for any injuries or deaths that occur in this town (or anywhere else, for that matter). The Infinite Dungeon This used to be a nicer place, but the forces of Chaos have kind of twisted it. It never seems to be the same twice. It is rumored that there is some kind of Chaos Lord deep within, but the people who say things like that are pessimists. A rather Boring Cave The first level is rather boring, but the second level can be quite a ride! Some have said that there is a guild for persistent assassins down there, but surely law enforcement wouldn't permit such a thing to exist. The Pyramid An exclusive establishment, the Pyramid is open by invitation only. Characters that survive to experience level 13 seem to receive invites reliably, if in a rather strange manner. A Small Clearing One of our guest villas, feel free to make yourself at home. It's a great place to hang that spare robe and do a little reading. Never mind the old barbarian who hangs around; he's harmless. He was such a brave warrior in his day, so we humor him. The Caverns of Chaos Some say this is where all the recent trouble comes from. Tales tell of many strange places within. The wilder ones mention an Arena (hah!), a Dwarven village (likely!), and even some unseemly gambling establishment that makes the outlaw town look clean. Such things couldn't really exist, but you're welcome to explore; at your own risk, of course. Look at folded attatchment to brochure. The Mad Minstrell's Hut Poor fellow went looney years ago, but he gives free concerts on request. Some strange stuff he sings, though; sometimes sounds like the fool in Terinyo. Not to everybody's taste. But you're here for the exotic, no? Stop by and see him. The Tower of Fire Hot stuff! Bring your own protective gear. We'd tell you more, but our notes were singed at the edges, all the way to the center of the page. A very dark Cave What can we say? It's dark and strange things wander about. Some clever fellow once told us there's some lost artifact down in there, somewhere, but no one's been bright enough to bring it out, yet. An Ancient Oak You have to search this area to find this dark glade with an eerie feeling, but once found you'll notice the ancient oak tree sporting a medium sized hole. Unfortunately, most characters are too big to fit. You must need to go on a diet, or otherwise become extremely thin to get in. It's rumored that the King and Queen of Faerie live within, but you might only find a bunch of quicklings ready to boot you out. The Artificer's Cave This is a dangerous place for the inexperienced. It seems safe enough, until Kherab's toys start wandering toward you. He's just below with many of his favorite creations. The Tomb of the High Kings The last of the High Kings was entombed here years ago. People used to visit often to pay their respects, but nobody seems to go there anymore. Something about the place feeling kind of eerie, or something. Highly recommended as long as you prepare for a hike through the caves. Do stay out of the water, though (no swimming or fishing allowed). The Magic Circle This mysterious place just recently appeared. Chaotic types have been overheard talking about it having some importance. For most people it's irrelevant, other than it's historical context, as it was once a monument for all the alignments. An Incredibly Deep Rift Warning! Many visitors to this area have fallen into the rift and never been heard from. Exercise extreme caution--even professional climbers have fallen. It's so daunting, you won't even be able to try unless you're one impressive being, or else really imperceptive (must be level 18 or higher with either willpower of 20 or more or perception of 5 or less, and have climbing skill at 100). And you have to be really lucky to get down unharmed (27 luck checks). We're not sure why people would want down there anyway; something about the need to read. An exit from the rift Rumored to be one exit from the great rift, it allows access to the Library. The Sinister Library of Niltrias The library contains documents only rarely found in other parts of the Chain. It is a very popular place for wizards and the very powerful. Library fines are sometimes collected by an Ancient Karmic Wyrm, so be careful. The GreaterWhite Unicorn's Glade Yrruir, the Greater White Unicorn only allows those sent by his friends to see him or his glade. The Druid in Terinyo will guide you once he judges you worthy (exp. level 30) The Greater Black Unicorn's Glade Only the Greater White Unicorn can tell you how to find Riurry, the Greater Black. A cave entrance/exit It goes in the mountain, it comes out of the mountain. This is the outlet of the uninteresting dungeon, below the small cave. A high mountain village A recently discovered fortress style village, it contains a shop, a jail, and some rather seedy characters (some are even rude enough to give you the cold shoulder). An barely used tunnel Rumored to be an outlet of a shortcut to the high mountain village; it can only be found from within the village. The Dwarven Cemetary This holy burial ground is closed to all visitors, except by special invitation by a Dwarvish elder. The old records indicate it as the final resting place of the famous Griff Bloodaxe, as well as a couple of unique historical items.
