The Village is about 5 km to the north of town Slany. Extensive burial - ground exposed at point alias "Na Drevne" (1895) and at road to Kralovice. Findings dating back to old stone age and Unetice age; maybe an early Slav castle about 1 km away from the village within a large elevation towards the eastern part On the Fortification; the thorp first mentioned back in 1316; in 16th century owned by Popluzan gentry; it used to be a court the yield of which belonged to the ordaining archbishops in Prague; following Hussite Wars it was held by Slany Town; deprived of it in 1547 and sold to Jan Kolsky from Koloves; in 1550 sold to Petr Chotka from Vojnin; in the possession of utraquist priests until 1620; a legend links to 1592 concerning the knight Jan Popluzky the testament of whom written before his leaving to the war with Turks gained a fair profit for the church from the crops harvested by Drinov people. They ascribe a beaten (treaded out) but legible gravestone /1582?/ in Drinov church (Santa Luke)just to knight Popluzsky; Doupovec from Doupov, Vratislav from Mitrovic, Valkoun from Adlar and Clam Martinic belonged to significant holder´s municipality further; column of the crucification is on crossway near village.
? The title U kamene (At the Stone) is mentioned in 1896 by Mr. K. Schmidt assigning it to the demarcation line between plots of cadastral (tract) No. 840 and 837. ?
